The Big Idea : 

A levitating minimalist villa that takes advantage of the Mountain Views

The Problem : 

An extremely hilly site with steep topography, but beautiful views overlooking the mountain range. The client came to us to identify the location of the villa on their acre site. Steep sites are notorious for having tricky foundations that express an interest in driving the costs up. 

The Solution : 

Utilizing the existing natural topography, we sought to locate the perfect location by analyzing utilities, land slopes and the best views on site. The combination of these 3 parameters landed the home in a location that made it appear as if it was levitating on the soil – a perfect location to enjoy the gorgeous Mountain Views.
